Celtic Shamanism had its great flowering about 300 AD, but to a large extent was lost by the influence of the Roman Empire, so now only fragments of this rich tradition remain.
Much of the modern sources for Celtic Spirituality can be found in Poems and Songs that have survived.
What is a Shaman
One definition of a Shaman is 'one who sees in the dark' or healer, in tribal times the shaman was the medicine person, te wise elder, a mediator between the worlds.
The good new is that Shamanic practice world wide has amazing similarities when we look at the tribal societies of Africa to Mongolia, North and South America to australia and Celtic Europe.
There is a great awakening and desire to connect with the ways of our Celtic ancestors as a souce of deepening and enriching our own lives.
We draw from knowledge that has been tried and tested over millennia and has great relevance to this our modern world as a way to re-dress the imbalances we face.
A great source of our passion for offering thesae trainings is the well spring of creativity, self-empowerment and inner peace it brings to those who sit in counsel circle together.
This is an experiential course that teaches you how to enter the 'other world' in the ancient way using the beat of the drum.
On this five week course you will learn:
- About Shamanism and other realities and using the drumbeat to change our consciousness.
- Space Clearing and creating Sacred Space.
- Journey to the Lower World and Upper Worlds to meet with our Power Animals and Spirit Guides.
- About the Empowerment Journey.
- How to work ipairs to get guidance for each other.
- Divining using tools from Nature.
